Like any other muscle in the body, the heart must be exercised. In most cases this is accomplished by taking the heart to a workload of 50-80% of its estimated maximum heart rate BPM (beats per minute). The Federal Government now states that all Americans should supplement each day with at least one hour of cardio exercise.

For our clients' convenience, we have a variety of pre-recorded classes, including yoga, pilates, aerobics, and core, that can be played on our wall projector when YOU want. Check them out!

At Empower one of our primary goals is to help you understand and answer these questions.
Each piece of cardio equipment has been carefully chosen to provide you with the most efficient and comfortable method of achieving maximum cardio health.

An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is located in our facility for heart-related emergencies.
Included in every member's Welcome Packet are the answers to commonly asked questions about exercise, fitness, nutrition and your ideal cardiovascular training heart rate. These answers will help guide your education within Empower and will help you to achieve fitness goals that you may not have even realized.
Our Red Room is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, upright bike, and recumbant bike with heart monitors. Each piece features its own individually-controlled television and DVD player. DirecTV with over 150 stations and XM radio are featured on each system.
